Friday Feels: A Purple-tinged Week
The first full week of September was go-go-go. Not only was I hosting friends for Labor Day Weekend but work has been ramping up as I plan for an event next week (and I’m not talking about these ramps). As summer winds down there is just so so so much going on. Gotta soak it all up while it is still warm and beautiful outside. Week 4 of #FridayFeels. I almost didn’t do this today, but I am happy that I’m keeping it going. Here were the highlights of the week: 1. Paisley Park Visit. This isn’t a highlight of the week. My visit to Paisley Park was actually a highlight…

Friday Feels: I’ll Miss You, August
Hey Hey! This is my THIRD week in a role doing #FridayFeels. This is a big deal for me. I thought I might be a little ambitious doing a weekly column, but guess what… You can do ANYTHING you put your mind to! Wow! It really feels like Friday today. Just finishing off a bustling week. Felt like I was pushing myself a bit out of my comfort zone, which is always exciting. In other news, I have friends coming into town for the holiday weekend, and we are doing so many fun things. You’ll have to stay tuned on Instagram! Anyways let’s get into those #FridayFeels: 1. Minnesota State…

Friday Feels: Flashes of Fitness
There are a lot of F’s in that headline, so pardon my deep love for alliteration. Here is another edition of Friday Feels. If you missed last week’s (the introduction to the column), click HERE. This week was a total whirlwind. It went by so quickly and each day felt like the wrong day. Monday felt like Friday, Thursday felt like Monday, etc. etc. What are you gonna do, ja feel? Let’s hop right into the #FridayFeels. 1. Just another amazingly beautiful weekend in Minnesota. I walked down to Lake Calhoun and made friends with a cute little panfish while sitting on a rock by the water. 2. On the…

Friday Feels: Starting Out
Internet friends, do I have a big surprise for you! I’m starting another new column at LivingNimbly. And don’t you worry, this one has a better chance of not fading away than others that I’ve dreamed up (see: my monthly music recap OR when I wanted to start reviewing movies OR my weekly workout playlist post. Whoa, now that I list them out… that seems like a whole lot.) I am LOVING this process of writing a blog, because I am slowly but surely figuring out what I like to write about. What type of writing (and creative expression in general) gives me life versus slows me down. Because I…

FINALLY Made it to the Sculpture Garden
Crossed another item off of my summer bucket list this week (Lightbulb! Maybe I will post a seasonal bucket list… that could be fun). I finally made it to the newly renovated sculpture garden at the Walker Arts Center in Minneapolis. We saw everything including the iconic “Spoonbridge and Cherry,” which I haven’t seen up close, EVER! So, this is a pretty big deal. Anyways, my dear friend Liz came into town from D.C. earlier this week, and it was the perfect reason to take in this beautiful sculpture garden. ALSO, the Tuesday that we visited was a day after my birthday (#PrimeLeoSeason), so this could also be labeled as…
