Raisin Bread for St. Patrick’s Day
Amid all the chaos of the coronavirus situation, I am writing from my parent’s dining room table in Central Maryland. Social distancing has led to a lot of baking and cooking from my end! In honor of St. Patrick’s Day (one of the best days of the year), I wanted to make a fresh loaf of Irish Soda Bread. From all of the recipes that I’ve read (here and here), this is basically a bread loaf-sized cakey buttermilk biscuit made with flour, salt, butter, buttermilk, baking powder, baking soda, sugar and raisins. I Accept Myself For Where I Am Today.
I accept that today is a gift. I accept myself fully for where I am today. I accept that I am moving forward. I accept that I have the power to create change in my life. I accept and embrace that my path has brought me here to this point.
Overcast Skies Won’t Dampen a Lutsen Trip
I wrote this post for my friend Kim’s blog From Lusten With Love. Be sure to pop over to her lovely site to read through her adventures on Minnesota’s North Shore. For this post, I was planning on doing a Summer bucket list, but that ended up proving to be too much for one post. SO, I am going to break it…
Committing To Shovel Snow

I can’t believe I haven’t brought it up until now… This is the perfect time too as flakes gently fall from the pure white sky as I sit in this Starbucks. First and foremost, snow is a wakeup call that we are nearly powerless when it comes to the workings of our world. Mother Nature has all of the control, and she is going to use her power as she deems fit, summoning a foot and a half of icy snow at…
